TROOPER
A quick look on the World Wide Web will make you realize that TROOPER still has a faithful fan base. They are still out there playing all those favourites, Two For The Show, The Boys in the Bright White Sportscar, Santa Maria, We're Here for a Good Time (Not a Long Time), Raise A Little Hell, Three Dressed Up as a Nine and more. In the early years TROOPER opened for bands such as Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, REO Speedwagon and others.
Their 2nd album "Two for the Show", resulted in their first set of Juno nominations (The Juno is the Canadian version of the Grammy). In 1980, after several previous nominations TROOPER won a Juno for Best Group.
Fans are still holding their breath waiting for a compilation CD to be released.......

McGuire & Smith have been performing together
since 1965.
Randy Bachman of BTO signed Applejack to his
label.....Applejack became TROOPER
"Hot Shots" went 6X platinum and it is
estimated that 1 of every 40 Canadians owns it.
Ra McGuire and Brian Smith are the original members. They co-write the songs and are both Vancouverites.
TROOPER has released 10 albums to date.
