The House of Commons displayed an amazing sense of what’s been on public minds lately. Zombie Apocalypse. Member of Parliament for Winnepeg Centre, Pat Martin, gave accolades to the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta and Quebec for putting emergency measures in place should there be a zombie invasion. Since zombies are not likely to recognize borders, Martin points out that a United States invasion could easily become a continent-wide pandemic if not contained. On behalf of Canadians he asked John Baird, Foreign Affairs Minister, if he is working with his American counterparts to ensure an international zombie strategy is put in place.
“I want to assure this member and all Canadians that I am dead-icated to ensuring that this never happens. I want to say categorically to this member and through him to all Canadians that under the leadership of this Prime Minister, Canada will never become a safe haven for zombies, EVER.”
Martin’s concerns are legitimate in light of Winnepeg’s zombie issues.
Thanks to Margo for bringing this to my attention!
