She is the middle of three children. (an older brother and a younger sister)
She was home schooled until eighth grade (she skipped 7th)
Attended University in Toronto and earned her Masters Degree from Radcliffe College at Harvard
The Handmaids Tale was made into a movie
Married to author Graeme Gibson.
Some of the awards Atwood has received: Companion of the Order of Canada, the Governor General’s Award for fiction and poetry, the Guggenheim Fellowship.
