The Internet Just Wasn’t Big Enough

January 21, 2011 / by Pat Williams / 1 Comment

As I work to update this site and slowly transfer it’s multitude of pages over to a wordpress platform, I was reflecting on how much the internet has changed since I first wrote much of the material, +/- a decade ago.

There is so much information online now, but when I began to post about the history of Canada, it’s symbols, past Prime Minister’s etc., I actually had to go to the library to do the research…. there was NOTHING online about it.

That will be the story I tell future generations when I’m old (er)… instead of “I had to walk two miles to school – each way!” which is what I heard from my grandparents… it will be, “I had to physically GO TO the library and open a book to research content!”

I wonder what inconceivable inconveniences will be discussed by the next generation.
