TROOPER

October 24, 2009 By Pat Williams

Canadian Band Trooper

A quick look on the World Wide Web will make you realize that TROOPER still has a faithful fan base. They are still out there playing all those favourites, Two For The Show, The Boys in the Bright White Sportscar, Santa Maria, We’re Here for a Good Time (Not a Long Time), Raise A Little Hell, Three Dressed Up as a Nine and more. If you were too busy partying to remember them the first time they were released, watch the video below.

In the early years TROOPER opened for bands such as Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, REO Speedwagon and others.

Their 2nd album “Two for the Show”, resulted in their first set of Juno nominations (The Juno is the Canadian version of the Grammy). In 1980, after several previous nominations TROOPER won a Juno for Best Group.
